The best kind of love happens unexpectedly. That’s the only way I can describe how the love story of Nate & I began. To make a long story short, we met at a very magical place; some might even call it The Happiest Place on Earth. Timing played a huge role in our relationship and I can honestly say after experiencing  our love story that there is a perfect time and place for everything. We dated long distance for a while and eventually Nate moved from California to live somewhere…cheaper than California (spoiler alert: that’s everywhere!). I may have had inspired the move just a little bit.

Nate and I love to travel. One of our favorite things to do in a new city is find all the local, cool hidden gems. We feel you get a more inside feel of how the locals live day in and day out. We also love great food and sports and try to plan vacations around different ballparks. Eventually, we will visit every MLB stadium. When I say we love to travel, I mean we really love to travel. I am fortunate enough to have visited some amazing places with Nate in the 2.5 years we have been dating, check out the places we have visited so far:

  • Southern California
    • Too many times to count. It’s where our love story began and we have so many dear friends out there, so we have a tendency to visit there often.
  • Colorado
  • All over Arizona
    • Does it count if we reside here too? Nevertheless, you can find us most weekends in Northern Arizona.
  • Carnival Inspiration
    • Cruised through Catalina Island and Mexico.
  • Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Orlando, Florida
  • Harmony of The Seas
    • Formerly known as the largest cruise ship in the world. Her sister who set sail this year is now the biggest.
    • Cruised through the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Kitts.
  • Miami, Florida
  • San Francisco, California
    • My first visit to this beautiful city was with Nate to go wine tasting with our favorite band, Train. Yes, you read that correctly.

We have some more trips on the horizon and a few cruises we are planning on setting sail on too. Traveling is so much fun, especially when you get to travel with your best friend. The question that everyone always ask us is, “How have you traveled to so many cool places and not broken the bank?” Nate is a financial wizard and is excited to share our secrets to a well-traveled life.

Nate and I are also passionate about healthy living. Even though I am on a “strange diet”, Nate actually still eats gluten, dairy and soy. What – I thought you were against those things, Sabrina? No, I believe that there are foods that are good for some and bad for others. Nate and I strive to eat clean and eat less processed foods. Nate was actually the one who discovered that my “strange diet” can reverse Hashimoto’s Disease. Our desire for others when it comes to health and fitness is to read your labels and take time to care for yourselves. It was a struggle learning how to handle my autoimmune disease, but I am grateful for his support though it all. As my parents once said, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything at all.

How does traveling and talking about my boyfriend fit into my blog? Yes, I have Hashimoto’s Disease, but I am not defined by my limitations. There are so many things that makes life wonderful and grand. One of those things for me is my life with Nate. He is a part of this journey and eager to help those around him live their best lives. This blog is not to tell you to ditch dairy, gluten and soy. This blog is about living life to the fullest regardless of the curve balls life throws at you.
